Shervin Behzadi

Some years ago I was tripped playing in a game of hockey, something that had happened many times before, only this time I broke my wrist. As part of my rehabilitation the physiotherapist recommended a lot of twisting motions and that washing dishes was great exercise, I decided to start painting again. I have always been interested in the pointillism style of Seurat and started producing portraits of my nephew and famous people.

More recently I have become more interested in treating paint as a material. Rather than paint on a canvas or some other material I want to be able to pick up my work and look at it from different angles.
