Sarah Christie's work is currently exploring the traces and expressions of touch and forms of contact, and she is investigating and developing research around skin, the body, and embodiment though materials. Her work often invites public participation.
Sarah teaches at Imperial College Medical School, as well as running occasional workshops for adults and children. Her regular arts-based workshops for medical students develop tactile and visual observation, descriptive and communication skills through language, drawing and 3D modelling. Sarah collaborates closely with a clinical team which has inspired cross fertilisation of thinking, informing her own artistic practice, and in turn feeding back into her teaching work.
